ORDERING FAQ’s:

How do I place my order?

First there are some things you'll need to be familiar with: shirts, art, ink, sizes, etc.  Please review the main custom page here: anticonformityusa.com/screenprinting and then use your very own favorite form of communication to get in contact either by phone, e-mail, fax, mail, or telepathy.  Anticonformity will take it from there......

What types of payments are accepted?
We accept all monster credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) and also take Paypal, mailed check, money order, well concealed cash or other unique forms of worth. You can also make payment by phone or fax with your credit card information.

How do I know what the finished product will look like?
At your request, we can send an e-mail showing  your artwork as it will appear on the actual product that you are ordering.  You can then approve or disapprove the artwork or layout. We won't  print your order until you are happy with what it will look like.  In some cases, such as color sensitive process printing, and photo reproduction, we will make sure you get a physical sample before production.

What is the turn around time?
If the goods you're having printed are standard such as a basic color T shirt and your art is supplied and  ready to go, we can usually have your order done within a week.  If you need American Apparel goods or blank goods we have to order from out of state, you'll be looking at about two weeks.   This doesn't include shipping time, which is determined by your location and method of shipment. We do offer rush service in special situations, please e-mail us and also call if you're in a hurry.

What about shipping?
Custom orders are shipped via UPS or USPS, depending on the situation.  You will be charged the actual shipping cost, so keep in mind we are in Arizona.  T shirts (in bulk) shipped UPS ground to New York may cost an extra 50 cents a piece after shipping where 100 trucker hats to California, would cost maybe 15 cents a piece to ship.   You will be notified once your order has shipped and supplied with a tracking number at the customer's request.

Do you ship to Bumfuck?
Yes. We accept international orders and ship overseas, but please note: Limited insurance coverage is available on large packages.   Also note: international shipping cost is largely based on weight.  You will pay actual shipping costs. International shipping methods vary depending on your location.

ARTWORK FAQ’s:

What format should I submit my art in?
What have you got?  Our preferred file formats are: .ai, (Adobe Illustrator), .eps, .pdf (Adobe Acrobat), .psd (Adobe Photoshop), .tiff.  We also accept .jpeg, .gif, .bmp and many others as long as they are high resolution.

Can I e-mail my artwork to you?
Yes please. That's usually the easiest way.  If it's under 12 megs you can send it here: anticonformityusa@gmail.com  or if it's a huge file, you can place your artwork on a FTP page and send us the link so we can access it.  Or you can always mail or deliver your artwork to us on disc or on paper. Call 602-410-1548 to set an appointment.

Can you fix my art or enhance my idea?
No problem! But, there may be an artwork charge.... That depends on the work involved.  All new orders of $200  and up receive one half hour of free artwork.  That includes the following; scanning images, converting file types, simple re-draws, minor touch-ups, layer separations, and/or limited typesetting, and ultimately, creating the film positive(s).   Orders requiring any extra art time after that will be subject to additional art fees.  Please see our Artwork Submission Information page for more information and pricing.

Can Anticonformity create a design for me?
Only if you're cool.  We offer 33.3 minutes of free art on new orders, which can include text only designs, and simple logo creation.   If you want us to create a really cool custom design for you based on your ideas or sketches, we can do that too!! For a small fee we can create your art or logo for your order and we can also supply you with a CD of your custom art containing several super high resolution variations of your art in several formats and in several sizes to use however you want.  Great for bands!!  For more information and pricing, please see: Artwork Submission Information.

Can I use multiple designs on one order?
Basically, each color of each design = 1 screen, and print prices are based on quantity of items in a run, so if you want 24 shirts that say a dozen different things and want to call it "one order" in addition to having a big fat wallet you're looking to slim down, OF COURSE YOU CAN!  But, if you mean, you have no idea how screen printing works and you didn't realize we already give you several inches with our already low prices and you are now trying to take a mile by even asking, sorry, but NO YOU CAN'T.....  Exceptions can be made depending on order quantity, print size, etc.

GARMENT SIZES/COLORS FAQ's:

Can I get youth sizes?
We believe the children are our future, so YES!!  Youth sizes are available in Youth XS (2-4), Small (6-8), Medium (10-12), Large (14-16), and Youth XL (18-20) in various brands and styles.  Infant clothing is also available.  Hey, those babies are tomorrow's children!

Can you do plus size shirts?
Yes. We can get up to 4XL and on up to 6XL by special order.  Plus sizes 2XL and up are typically $2 extra per size on custom orders, so a 4XL would be $5 above standard price.  Also keep in mind, as sizes get bigger, shirt color options are narrowed.

Can I mix the shirt sizes in my order?
No problem.  Size counts (Small through XL) do not affect the total price. Sizes 2XL and up are generally $1.50 extra per size, per piece.  Aside from that, any combination of sizes to complete your total is fine.

Can I get different types of shirts (t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops)?
Yes.  The blank goods are priced individually  and the price that you would pay for "printing" each garment is determined by the total number of shirts in your order. For instance, if you were to get 50 T-shirts and 25 tank tops and with the same print, you would be paying the "75 piece" printing price.

Can I change ink colors within my order?
Yes. As many as you want at only  $15 per color.  That means per print location also. In other words, if you are getting black shirts with a front and back print and want some printed with red ink and some in white ink (on both sides), 2 ink-change charges will apply.

PRINTING FAQ's:

Do I get to keep my artwork or screens?
Everything has a price.  The initial screen fee ($30) you pay covers the cost of the process of creating the image on the screen, not for the actual screen itself.  You only pay a screen fee once, the first time you order a design.     We keep screens on file for 6 months.   Reorders of the same design (within a 6 month period) are billed at $15 reset fee for each color/ location in your design.  If you desire, you may also purchase the screen(s).  Price will depend on screen size, grade, mesh count etc. (around $50 each)   Reorders after 6 months from last order will be billed as a $25 existing art/new screen/setup fee.  As for your artwork, we keep that on file infinitely and it can also be made available (on disc) for a small fee.

What is the difference between screen printing and iron-ons?
ALL of our T-shirts and hats are screen printed using all professional equipment and the finest plastisol inks.  We believe iron-on transfers have given T shirts a bad name as they have saturated the market so now we have to answer that next question all the time. Well, iron-ons and all the crappy screen printers out there!  There is no question that the quality of our screen printing is far superior to that of any  iron-on.  In 12+ years, we still have not found another printer who compares!   Please read next Q & A.....

Will the printing bleed, crack, or fade on my shirts?
No, sorry, we don't do iron-ons.  With screen printing,  the ink (Typically plastisol ink - basically, liquid plastic) is directly printed onto the shirt which bonds with the fibers of the fabric and thed cured (dried) at high temp.  We only use the best quality inks and supplies (unlike most screen printers).  We properly "cure" our ink (unlike most screen printers) and conduct regular temperature and wash tests  in our shop (unlike most screen printers).  Properly printed and cured plastisol ink will outlast the garment it is printed on.  On prints with minimal ink deposit, such as a detailed photo type image printed in black ink on a white shirt through a fine mesh, onto a cheaper shirt, you may encounter very slight fading.  This is actually not the ink fading, but the shirt fibers coming through.  Higher quality shirts with finer knits (ring spun cotton) always hold prints better and longer.

Can you match a specific ink color?
As long as you can supply a physical color sample and call it a swatch.  Computer monitors differ when it comes to color matching, so we cannot promise that we are viewing the same shade on both ends.  We do offer PMS (Pantone Matching System) color matching.  Special ink mixes/Pantone color matches will  typically cost $15 per color.  There is no extra charge for standard/stock ink colors.

How big can my print be?
Size really does matter here.  Anything larger than the standard size of 8.5" X 11." will be subject to an oversize art fee.  There is no limit to size if you think you can handle it sailor!

Does Anticonformity print on customer supplied goods?
Yes. As long as you can guarantee that they are brand new, never worn, dust free, and unwashed condition.  Absolutely any trace of detergent or sweat in the fabric is unacceptable.

GENERAL FAQ’s:

Does Anticonformity have a catalog?
Sorry, not at this time. Information and pricing of our more popular products and blank goods can be found here: anticonformityusa.com/products.  If you have questions or would like more information on any of our products, please e-mail anticonformityusa@gmail.com or call us at 602-410-1548

Where the hell is Anticonformity?
We are out  in sunny Tempe, Arizona. That's just on the cool side of Phoenix.  We accept visitations by confidential appointment only.  Our secret office and printing facility are located in a nearby cave, but don't be fooled!  Anticonformity has secret agents all over the planet and we do indeed ship worldwide from a separate secret tunnel seven clicks south of Summer Street.

How long has Anticonformity been in business?
Anticonformity has been in business (legitimately) since early 2003, and in the screen-printing business since 1992.  Printers at Anticonformity must have a required minimum of 25,000 hours of experience,  having set up at least 5,000 designs, and must have printed at least 2 million individual garments before we will even consider their application.  We work from experience.

How can I save money on my custom order?
It's all about colors and quantities Baby! Here are 5 helpful tips to save you money: anticonformityusa.com/specials and for price breaks vs. order quantities check the tables on this page: anticonformityusa.com/pricing

Does my  charity or non-profit organization get a discount?
We are open to suggestions and periodically offer special deals to organizations and causes that we feel are worthwhile.  We can also work out great discounts if you have something to offer, such as advertising space, ancient artifacts, your good name, etc.

Is there any minimum order?
Minimum order for single color prints is one dozen.  2 or more color designs, 2 dozen.   However rules are meant to be broken.  If you are wanting to order only one or two shirts, please be prepared to pay full screen, set-up, and surcharges.  And multiple color designs on small runs can get costly too.  Sorry, it's not or fault, it is just the setup time involved in the fine art of screen printing.

Basically, as a rule, if you're looking to get your shirts for $5 or $6 each, you'll need to be ordering AT LEAST 3 dozen. If there's one special shirt you need and you'd like it done by the best, you should be prepared to spend upwards of  $30-40 for the first one due to screen prep costs.

Can I buy UNprinted / blank items?
Yes. We offer a wide variety of blank goods in many colors and styles in many price ranges.  Minimum orders may apply to blank items.  Call us for currently available products, pricing, and availability.

How can I print my own shirts?
You can't.  That's why you're here.  Other than customer screens, if they wish to purchase them, we do not sell any screen-printing supplies.  For those sincerely interested in the art of screening, we may take pity on you and assist you in acquiring the minimal equipment and supplies required to print your own designs DIY style.  It can be fun, but don't think it's so easy though! Screen printing is a very scientific process that requires an unhealthy amount of attention to detail and years and years of hands on experience before .  Not to mention, in order to produce consistently perfect, long lasting, high quality prints (Like Anticonformity) you must also be ready to invest some real money in some real equipment.

What do I do if there is a problem with my order?
Please contact Anticonformity immediately by phone, fax, or e-mail. Hey, we don't like problems any more than you do, and we don't normally have any either, but in that rare event, we will make every effort to get to the bottom of it and make it right ASAP.
